Rather, there are two dichotomies at play: Natural-Spiritual and Physical. (1Co 15:44 ESV) The proper dichotomy in Paul's mind is not Physical-Spiritual. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. It is sown a natural body it is raised a spiritual body. Paul believed that Jesus' Resurrection was both Physical AND Spiritual. Biblical scholars are interested in understanding the Bible as a text, while theologians are interested in using it to support their religious beliefs. It is based on a more word-for-word translation philosophy (similar to the ESV), as opposed to more of a phrase-by-phrase or concept-by-concept translation (like the NIV or NRSV, which are also excellent translations).However, I would say that the main difference is the intention of their study. The NASB is certainly one of the top translations. The English language has an embarrassing wealth of excellent Bible translations.
